What happens when I dial 000?

When calling 000 it is very important to be as accurate as possible with your information, especially in regard to location of an incident. The CFA gives examples of information you will be asked for, and the more accurate information you can give - the faster and more precisely we can respond.

One of the common problems we encounter is information provided by people who are driving past an incident. It is very important you give accurate information as to where the actual incident is. People sometimes give locations of where they are at the time of the call, which may be some distance from the actual original scene itself.
